Hedonistic Glam Iconic women of New York who seek pleasure of all kinds often dress themselves in various styles, be it sophisticated, pretty, retro, sporty, or sexy. Designers Polpat Asavaprapha and Maruwut Buranasilapin of asava bring together all these elements popularized by stylish women of the 70′s and the 80′s and revamp them in asava’s Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 Collection under the name “Hedonistic Glam.” Fashion icons like Bianca Jagger, EdieSedwick, Gloria Vanderbilt were the source of inspiration for this latest collection. Bianca Jagger, for example, had graced the fashion world with her unique style during the heyday of disco at well-known Studio 54.
The two designers of asava combine these exceptional details inspired by fashion goddesses from that era and revive them into their trademark of simplicity and elegance which include brown silk bell bottoms layered with tunic lace or camel-colored coat and marine bell bottoms paired with peppermint-colored blouse. Polpat Asavaprapha, Creative Director of asava says “This collection emphasizes the perfect combination of casual wear with sophisticated clothing in one outfit. The structures and the details of the clothing have changed but the unique style of asava is still apparent, yet sexier black lace pants, see-through short dress that reveal the thighs, blouse made with light organza fabric, and various prints such as snake, houndstooth, graphic patterns and marine pattern. I believe asava women will be pleased with the novelty of this collection.” The materials used in this set are of the finest quality which look extravagant and are comfortable to wear. These include wool, silk chiffon, silk satin, duchesse satin, houndstooth cotton, organza and lace from France.
The colors vary from lemon yellow, white, beige, pearly pink, cobalt blue, and different shades of purple from eggplant to lilac, peppermint green, latté brown, camel and black. The style of hedonistic women is represented in the fetish design seen inivory-colored Jacquard Lurex cocktail dress with bondage neckline and long evening gown made with dove grey silk chiffon adorned with black-trimmed bondage bustier.
